Cross workgrouping...[edit]

Are we going for as many workgroups as possible on the articles?

The reason I'm asking is that I've already seen one instance of a creator, Mike Grell, getting cross grouped to here.

  • We sort of kicked it around at the main talk and the idea was to not over-do it, but to add publisher tags where you would readily identify a creator with a specific company. Like Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman I would see tagged as DC, but not Marvel, and someone like Roger Stern I wouldn't see a need to tag, but it's a rule of thumb and they don't always work. I guess whoever tagged Grell was thinking of Warlord and Green Arrow, and I confess I readily identify him with DC in my head. Hiding Talk 20:54, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'd rather keep it focused on the iconic people so if you think of a company who do you think of? Interestingly, although Grant Morrison has produced a lot of Vertigo titles he has spread it around so much he isn't strictly associated with them. However, given that and his having major input on the DCU I could see a claim for this work group but I didn't add it as I didn't see such a good fit (but that might be my view being coloured by his early British work). So yes to Stan Lee and Ditko for Marvel, and while Alan Moore is a close one some of his iconic work has been published through them (I am not bothered either way on that though so if someone removed it I say it can stay removed). Wildstorm[edit]

What do I tag Wildstorm articles as? DC or US? Hiding Talk 21:31, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Which ones?
Personal pref would be to "DC" tag stuff that has been created or used since DC bought the line and "US" tag the rest if the articles need to be split up at all. Keep in mind that it's likely that the material DC bought from Fawcett, Quality, and Charlton, as well as the three publishers that merged into National in the `40s are all "DC". Much the same way that Timely and Atlas are all "Marvel". - J Greb 21:47, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I hit Ambrose Chase, a minor Planetary character. I've settled on redirecting the article to Planetary because its a minor character and the article was solely plot summary, but I figured I'd ask. I'll go tag as DC. Hiding Talk 21:57, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion needing wider input... (GL)[edit]

Right now there is a discussion going on at Template talk:Green Lantern#Geoff Johns that needs wider input than it's getting. I'm bringing it here first since the template falls under this work group's purview be for taking to the general project talk.

Please take a look and plunk in your 2¢... or more.

Thanks, - J Greb (talk) 01:44, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion needing wider input...[edit]

With regard to the article name for Teen Titans.

This has come up before, and frankly it needs as many eyes, and voices, of all opinions on it so that it can be put to bed, one way or the other, once and for all. The Discussion is going on here and is the result of fiat moves since the beginning of the year. - J Greb (talk) 14:37, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
